The University of Wollongong (informally called Wollongong University or Wollongong), abbreviated as UOW, could be a public analysis university settled in the coastal city of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, close to eighty kilometers south of state capital. As of 2014 the University has associate enrollment of over thirty,000 students (including over twelve,800 international students from 134 countries), associate alumni base of over 112,000, and over 2,000 tutorial connected workers. As of 2015 Wollongong systematically ranks among the highest two of universities within the world.
In 1951 a division of the New South Wales University of Technology (known because the University of recent South Wales from 1958) was established at Wollongong for the conduct of certification courses. In 1961 the Wollongong University faculty of the University of recent South Wales was deep-seated and also the faculty was formally opened in 1962. In 1975 the University of Wollongong was established as associate freelance establishment. Since its institution, the University has given quite one hundred,000 degrees, diplomas and certificates.
